Well, that’s because today, we’re looking at Rosita *La Monstrua De Las Cuevas* (*The Monster Of The Caves*) Now Rosita is a young monster from Mexico, who’s been used to help kids learn many things about hispanic culture, but she went through a few changes, before she could get to where she is now. Before her creation, there was one notable hispanic muppet: (not counting the characters from Plaza Sesamo) Osvaldo the Grouch, a local that Oscar met and befriended in season 11, when he and the cast took a trip to Puerto Rico. This is another episode I was really looking forward to, because it’s on my favorite human character, and one who doesn’t get nearly as talked about as much as she should: Gina Jefferson. Now, in the past, I’ve described Gina as the prettiest, most developed, most amazing cast member of Sesame Street, and all of that is still true to this day. But in this episode, like I usually do, I’m going to go into detail on why this is true. Today, we’re looking at someone much newer than everyone in this series so far, but has been around long enough to qualify, Abby Cadabby. (Which, yes, is a play on the word, Abracadabra.) Abby is a four year old fairy-in-training, who's still learning about how to properly do magic. What’s her story? Let’s poof our way into this and find out. So, the year was 2006, and Elmo-mania was still in effect. Meanwhile, Sesame Workshop was planning to release a new character that would hopefully reach the same popularity level Elmo was at.
