2025 Highlights
Well, another year has come and gone, and seeing as how I have nothing better to do, I might as well go over some of the great things that happened to me during 2025.
I finally posted the results of my favorite Sesame Street character poll to a fantastic reception. (And spoiler alert: My favorite character won by a landslide.)
While MuppetHistory being outed as a horrible person was a sour way to end last year, I was able to fill the hole with so many other fantastic Muppet fans. (Including, but not limited to: Malonespops, MuppetHerstory, Muppet Stuff With Jake, Petrifiedmuppet, mcmupz, Weirdpuppetgirl, muppetmarisa, muppetstuff, fr00tbats, etc.)
Even with how rampant the California wildfires were, miraculously, our mobile home remained completely unscathed.
Which meant we could take all of our stuff over to our new house, which we’re still getting settled into, but is way closer to most of the stuff we love.
My mom finally finished law school and got her degree, and now she’s a full-fledged lawyer.
I was able to set up our Nintendo Switch and download Super Smash Bros Ultimate, which has become one of my favorite video games ever.
While I never got a chance to experience Muppet-Vision 3D before its untimely close last year, I got to witness how much it meant to the Muppet fan community, which was almost as nice to see.
Netflix not only gave us K-pop Demon Hunters and a satisfying finale to Stranger Things, but it also gave Sesame Street a new home.
I went to see the Minecraft Movie in theaters, and the place wasn’t trashed or destroyed when the “Chicken Jockey” scene came on.
I made one of the best and most important blogs I will ever write about how Donald Trump and Cocomelon are poisoning the children’s television landscape.
One of my friends gave me a present on THEIR birthday.
My friends at Dink 4 Cause never disappoint, and last year’s events were a blast to help out with. (Can’t wait for this year’s gala.)
On a not-so-great note, 2025 was when three of the OG Paseo Club staff members and some of my closest friends retired from their jobs to pursue other things. And while I feel their absence every time I’m there, I still keep in contact with them, and I was able to help make their last days there ones to remember.
I got to spend part of the summer in Virginia with my extended family.
I got a job working for a podcast by a great guy named Terry Wollman that I hope to keep for as long as possible.
I had the honor of creating thumbnails for Becca Petunia’s new podcast about female Sesame Street Muppets, which is a fantastic listen.
I finally got around to watching One Piece, and it has quickly become one of my favorite TV shows ever. I’m so excited to see where it goes next.
I had a great birthday at my favorite restaurant, and then played my favorite game with my friends, with the DLC unlocked as a birthday present.
Not only did I get to fly to Philadelphia to visit the original Sesame Place. Not only did I get to make new friends from the Muppet community. Not only did I put together a care package for a friend who couldn’t make it (Which they still have yet to open), but I finally got to meet one of my best online friends in person and witness just how awesome they are in real life.
For Christmas, I got a VCR, A Cookie Monster hoodie, and Super Mario Party Jamboree, among other things.
I got to spend the weekend in a cool house in San Diego for the weekend while getting to read a new book.
On our way back home, we stopped at an aquarium and got to see all of the sea creatures.
I spent New Year’s Eve writing this blog post for everyone to enjoy.
And that’s all I can recall right now. Here’s hoping I get to write about even more great things that happen this year. See you next time!
